Arm exercise
To create the position, you first need to imagine you are holding a beach ball in your arms in front of you. You then take them out to the side and bring them down to just below you back, this will help to give you the correct posture for your stance. Look up and push your chest out slightly to help this form even more, When it comes to your hands the female partner lightly cups them with fingers splayed slightly for a delicate look, and for the male partner the hands will be cupped.
Traveling exercise
To travel in Paso doble, you have to work your way through your feet. You start by sliding the toes on the floor and gradually pushing closer to the ground to move down to the balls of your feet then to the heel. Once the entire foot is on the floor you repeat the process on the other foot. Make sure that you drive forward with you feet and sustaining eye contact with your partner.

The time signature of this music is a 4/4 rhythm.
We then take a count of 8 to walk around each other.
We stamp together on the count of 1.
